Rodney & Laura

Felicia Barlow Clar is an award-winning event and video producer who has been on a spiritual path the majority of her life. After experiencing the tremendous back-to-back loss of her beloved stepfather, Rodney, and sister, Laura, she turned her pain into purpose, combining her talents in production with her deep spiritual journey, and created Epilogue Tributes.

When tasked with planning the memorials, the family faced templates and checklists that did not fit their loved one’s legacies, especially with Laura. Laura experienced a tragic ending, yet it was her unique comedic personality and unapologetic living outside of any box that Felicia wanted memorialized. Using her 25 years of event experience, she was able to personalize the services to express their connection and love. At the end of Laura’s service, guests were dancing and reveling in the comedic joy Laura brought to everyone she met.

As a professional storyteller, Felicia brings transformation to the grieving process, helping families suffer less, while holding the space for grief. Felicia is a caring planner and Empath who loves helping others celebrate life in healthy ways. A true Renaissance woman, her spiritual journey has included meditation, Reiki and hypnotherapy training, transformation and mindset work, yoga, essential oil classes, and A Course in Miracles teachings with the esteemed Rev. Jim Webb. She is a lifelong activist and has added the death positive movement to her many efforts for change, particularly after the realization she created her first home funeral in 2005. She is currently studying extensive CareDoula®️ End-of-Life Awareness Sensitivity Training taught by Deanna Cochran, one of the founders of the End-of-Life Doula movement.

With hundreds of large-scale events to her credit, including a Presidential Inauguration, Felicia has worked in major markets in the U.S., including Las Vegas, New York City, and Washington, DC, and she has booked headliners in major venues across the country. Felicia is also an award-winning video producer and writer. She earned her Masters degree in Producing for Film and Video from The American University, and she served as President of the DC chapter of Women in Film & Video. She has an AAS in Merchandising and Buying from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City; and a BA in Civil Rights history from the University of Maryland, College Park.
