On Purpose Woman

I am so pleased to see many forums being open to my message about alternatives to funerals and the death positive movement. I’ve been included in another publication and will be interviewed on Facebook Live with the founder of On Purpose Woman, Ginny Robertson, on July 14th.

The Black Lives Matter spread is especially beautiful. As someone who grew up in a biracial family and raised by one of the most incredible and loving human beings, who also happened to be Black, I find acknowledgements and discussions about racial inequality are LONG overdue.

Here’s a little trivia for you: did you know that poverty was the next issue Martin Luther King Jr. was turning his focus on right before he was assassinated? Coincidence? I think not. Racial injustice is deeply ingrained in America. I pray one day we all see the light and truly understand what racism is and isn’t. Let’s make this moment count.

On Purpose Woman has been one of the most inclusive and diverse groups I have participated in. I am proud to have been involved in some manner since 2006.
